  • Why there is no response when I click "add to cart"?
    A: This usually happens to Windows XP SP2 users whose security setting has been set too high. Click here to see how to solve.

  • Q: Which version of Chinese Star should I purchase?
    A: Currently, the latest version of Chinese Star is Chinese Star MP (Multi platform Edition). If your operating system is Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP/Server 2003, we will recommend you to purchase Chinese Star MP, the latest version.

    If your operating system is Windows NT, now the only version which is compatible with Windows NT is Chinese Star 2000.

    If your operating system is Windows 95/98/ME, you have choice to purchase either Chinese Star 2001 or Chinese Star MP. However, Chinese Star MP is recommended.


  • Q: What is the relationship between your company and Beijing Chinese Star Cyber Technology Limited?
    A: We are the exclusive distributor in North America(including USA and Canada) for 'Chinese Star' since 1996.

  • Q: What is the advantage if I purchase the software from your office?
    A: You will get unlimited technical support during business hours whenever you encounter a problem.

  • Q: What if I am a current user, need to get a upgrade version? Can I get a discount price?
    A: Definitely! We accept orders for upgrade version from users who purchased the previous version directly from us. You must fax the invoice and the registration card to us, upon approval you will get a upgrade price to save you a lot.
  • Q: What is your return policy?
    A: Due to the nature of software and its ease of copying, we can only accept software returns if it has not been opened or it is defective. If a product is defective, you must arrange, with our prior approval, for its exchange within 15 days of purchase. Once the product is deemed defective by the manufacturer and/or the authorized licensed partner, you will be provided with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). No returns, of any type, will be accepted without a RMA number. You may return unopened software with original packaging for a refund, exchange or credit for 15 days after purchase. All returned software carries a 25% restocking fee. Shipping and handling costs are non-refundable. All return shipping costs, insurance and tracking must be prepaid.

    Sun Tendy USA, Inc. reserves the right to authorize product returns beyond 15 days from the invoice date. Please have ready the following information when calling for a RMA number: Customer name, invoice number, serial number and the nature of the problem.

    A: 1) PO's accepted upon approval. All government, military, and schools are pre-approved 30 days net terms. 2) Purchase orders are accepted upon approval and subject to 5% processing fee.   • Q: Do you accept Money order?
    A: Money Orders must be in US$ and issued by an US bank. Foreign money order costs an additional $50.00 processing fee.

  • Q: Do you accept Wire Transfer?
    A: Bank wire is acceptable with $45.00 additional processing fee (charged by our bank in additional to payer's bank). Clients may call or email for more information.

  • Q: What if my credit card payment is declined?
    A: Sun Tendy USA, Inc. accepts Visa and Master Card. You will be informed if your credit card is declined. If declined, your order will not be sent until it is authorized. In order for us to contact you to confirm your order and in case of problems with your order, you must provide us your phone number or e-mail. Any fraudulent orders made on our site will surely be caught and forwarded to local authorities, all IP address will be recorded on our system.

  • Q: What is a site license?
    A: It is a paper license for multi-users use. So if you purchased a software license, you will not receive any physical product.

  • Q: How long can I get my order?
    A: Most items are normally shipped the same business day for order placed before 3pm EST without payment complications. We currently ship by UPS and USPS Priority for a majority of shipment. Our shipping charge also includes handling. A shipping confirmation e-mail will be sent to you on the date your package is shipped. You can track your order from the web site.

  • Q: How to use Chinese Star?
    A: After your successfully installation, Chinese Star act as regular program laid on your Program File folder(may also have an icon on your desktop). You can simply click Chinese Star through "Start"-->"Programs"-->"Chinese Star"-->"Chinese Star XP"(or Chinese Star 2001), or double click Chinese Star icon if you have one.   • Q: Is there any limitation for using Photoshop?
    A: You can not use Photoshop 5.5 or lower version of Photoshop on the platform of Windows XP/2000 English edition, you must use its higher version, such as Photoshop 6.0/7.0, etc. If you need to input and display traditional Chinese onto Photoshop, you have to use specific font.

  • Q: Can I open Chinese PDF files?
    A: If you use Acrobat 4.X/5.X on the platforms of Windows XP/2000 English edition, you have to add a Chinese language supporting package. You may download this package from the web site: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Once download and install on the system, you can open Chinese PDF files. But you cannot open the PDF file in Chinese named folders, you must change the folder's name into English or numbers.

  • Q: After I successfully installed Chinese Star, only few fonts available in Chinese Star XP. Why?
    A: Select 'Custom' installation rather than 'Typical'. During the custom installation process, check "more fonts" in the window. If you have completed the installation, insert Chinese Star CD to CDROM and select modify Chinese Star option and check "more fonts".

  • Q: Why the tool bar in Chinese Star XP has fewer items than previous version of Chinese Star?
    A: Chinese Star XP use compact tool bar by default to save screen space. But you can set your own tool bar style. Please read user manual for more information.

  • Q: Why there is an error message on traditional Chinese system?
    A: When you create a simplified Chinese named word file in Chinese environment, if you open it in traditional Chinese system, there will be an error message. It is Window's problem, not the problem of Chinese Star XP.
