How it works’

The student begins by studying a set of vocabulary words. Each word is reinforced in the student*s memory through the SATPhonics study program, which includes:

Audio Pronunciation
Textual Definition
Contextual Application (The word is used appropriately in an example sentence.)
Visual Recognition (Image and Text)
Motor-Skill Utilization (Typing Activity)

After studying the selected number of vocabulary words, the student takes a spelling test and a definition test, followed by a series of Word Puzzles. Through the multiple testing formats of the SATPhonics program, the student is exposed to each vocabulary word no fewer than seven times. By the time the student completes the studying/testing cycle, he or she will remember the new vocabulary words far longer and much more accurately than they would through passive exposure.

Students (or parents) can build their own customized study program-from five to two-hundred words per day! Students can also create and save their own lists of specific vocabulary words-to brush up on frequently missed vocabulary words, to help with homework, to prepare for spelling tests, or to use our superior memorization techniques in conjunction with other SAT preparation courses!
