Comprehension Reviews
A thorough comprehension review follows each chapter of every book in the ReadPhonics 2005™ system. These review questions challenge your student to read attentively and to retain what he or she has learned. All ReadPhonics 2005™ study questions were written by teachers and professors from distinguished universities (including Project Advisor Professor Juliette Wells.) In levels 1 and 2, comprehension questions follow a basic multiple-choice format. Levels 3 and 4 consist of true/false style questions—complete with helpful, detailed explanations also written by our staff of teachers and professors.
Certain books in levels 3 and 4 may be difficult for those learning English as a second language—however, under the guidance of these questions and their accompanying explanations, these students too will gain access to difficult but important works of literature!

Vocabulary Tests
At the end of each chapter, your student takes a vocabulary test, comprised of the most challenging and important words from the text. Depending on your student's needs, you may select either the Definition Test or Spelling Test format for these exams. Also, parents and educators may set an appropriate Passing Score for these exams, which your student will be required to meet before passing on to the next section.

Sentence Words
Students of ReadPhonics 2005™ know not only the definitions of the words they learn, but know how to use those words in their proper contexts. Sentence Word exams offer students the opportunity to place each learned word in appropriate sentences from the text.

ReadPhonics™ Word Puzzle
Continuous, frequent review and repetition have been proven to be the most effective ways to improve your student's vocabulary. With this in mind, ReadPhonics 2005™ presents the ReadPhonics™ Word Puzzle, a fun and challenging vocabulary game that helps your student think of the correct word for each definition, ensuring that the word is retained in memory for whenever it is needed.
In addition, students of ReadPhonics 2005™ may invent their own ways of memorizing vocabulary words. The My Vocabulary function of ReadPhonics 2005™ enables students to create their own lists of challenging vocabulary, which they may return to at any time, to review over and over again for increased retention.
